Earlier this month we kicked off our CPD accredited event series; The Untapped Opportunity, with our first seminar at the lovely Assembly House in Norwich.
A key topic under discussion was how to help financial advisers to engage, retain, and serve those with smaller portfolios or less complex needs in the current regulatory and low interest rate environment. To support this we announced the forthcoming launch of the Embark Platform. Our platform is a fully digitalised, competitively priced service offering for intermediaries with a broad range of products and full investment universe, including investment funds, ETFs, stocks, shares and bonds.
Our solution? A low touch, high quality digital proposition.
Attendees heard from Embark, BlackRock and The Lang Cat who shared ideas and strategies for building future value in their advice businesses.
The speakers offered unique perspectives and valuable insights on the current market landscape and introduced solutions advisers may wish to consider for their back-book of clients. Specifically:
» The positive impact of technology in the advisory market // Mark Hopcroft, Managing Director, Group Distribution, Embark
» How to open your legacy assets to create value for your business // Andrew Keegan, Lead Strategies with Multi-Asset Strategies in EMEA, BlackRock
» The implications of MiFID II, The Asset Management Study and Investment Platform Market Study for your business, clients and processes // Michael Barrett, Consulting Director, The Lang Cat
Attendee comments on the new Embark Platform.
After the event we received feedback from Alwyn Evans at Churchgate Accountants Limited, Stephen Page of Page Russell and John Simpson at Smith & Pinching.
“The new Embark platform certainly looks to be an interesting solution for clients looking to build their wealth, particularly with regular contributions to various tax wrappers.”
Alwyn Evans, Financial Planning Director at Churchgate Accountants Limited
“Embark & Blackrock’s proposition would fit nicely into our business, helping to service the accumulators cost efficiently, so we can deliver a service fit for the smart phone generation.”
Stephen Page, Page Russell
“Embark’s vision of a true paperless platform at an extremely competitive cost base in conjunction with BlackRock will be a challenge to the existing platform market. The early introduction of a client app is also a major plus.”
John Simpson, Financial Services Operations Director at Smith & Pinching
